Double Duece!!!!!!

I will now run the risk of appearing to have a severe man-crush on Brad Guigar and announce to you the newest in my collection of amazing Artist Editions!

You may remember the post I made when I got my Artist Edition of How To Make Webcomics a few months ago.

Friday I got my Artist Edition of Brad's new Evil Inc. Annual Report Volume Three. I immediately emailed Brad to plead desperately for the chance to share this amazing Artist Edition art with you guys and LUCKY FOR YOU he said he'd be "honored" to share that art.

Wow. Seriously, LOOK AT THAT LINE ART. That is amazing people. The depth and shading and cleanliness of those lines are absolutely ryboflavin. Surely now you can see why I speak so highly of Brad's work - and thats just the ART. Outstanding. If you have a chance to get a sketch from Brad you take it, you hear me, you buy that sketch! It was great for me and it'll be great for you.

Also, please note that I was number 2 of 250 in Brad's book as well. I think it's going to become a new tradition... future AEs must be 2/250 as well. *nodnod*

Now, to be fair I do have to give a very small review of the book cause it is unique. Brad takes his daily newspaper-layout comic and reformats the panels into a graphic novel comicbook style. I honestly wasn't sure how I'd like it but once you start reading it's really quite enjoyable. Plus, since Brad is vaunted as the master of scanning (in webcomics circles at least) have no fear about his adjusted panel sizes. Every panel, no matter how large or small it became in the book, still looks crisp. It's part of that 24-step scanning plan Brad so fondly endorses.

The only thing I didn't like about the book really isn't Brad's fault. Eventually a book has to stop and Brad's is an annual report so when he stopped it was after a year's worth of comics. Thats a lot of comics, but it just happens that this book's story ended with an odd just... um... it ended. Its hard to explain if you don't read the book, so read the book. Still, I can think of worse problems then wanting more book to read - am I right? Yeah I am. It's probably a masterful scheme by Brad to ensure sales of volume 4 next year!! CURSE YOU GUIGAR!!

So, treat yourself to Brad's work (start with Evil Inc. and then branch out from there) and when you're hooked like I am you can buy your own Artist Edition of Evil Inc v3!!

Stumble WTH!
