Indiana Jones and the Search for the Lost Sound Card

Anywho, back to the sound card. Brian Sparks saw my post yesterday about the non-working sound card problem and DESPITE the fact yesterdays comic took a (funspirited) jab at his Geek Squadyness he still got a hold of me last night and walked me through some more computer problems to FIND my missing sound card. I don't really know how he did it but he got the computer to once more realize I do infact have a card and its not broken and the driver is still available to use. I spent 2 days trying to do the same thing, but I fail and Brian Sparks is the awesome. It's that simple. Thanks again to Brian as what was once LOST now is found.

Speaking of LOST, I never have seen a single episode of the show. Last week when my computer was down and I had no DVD or anime (computer again) I was forced to watch much TV. My brother and I were watching one of the 700 crime investigation shows... or maybe it was one of the 500 doctor shows... not sure which... and I saw a commercial for LOST. I turned to my Brother and said "So, what, they're on Atlantis?"

...dead silence...

Then he gets his phone and calls our Mom. "Mom, Joshua just said he thinks LOST is on Atlantis." Pause. "I know it makes sense right?" Pause. "No, he doesn't watch it." Then he turns at me and asks why I think that. My response "Um...doy. They're on an island that nobody knows about, with weird technology and armies and stuff trying fighting over control of this apparently worthless island right? Makes sense to me. Besides, the name of the show is LOST. Lost city of Atlantis anyone? Didn't they already figure that out? The shows been out for like 5 seasons."

He repeats everything and then they talk some more and then he turns to me again and says "Nope, they never said it before... it makes sense though." Then I'm like "Well, how has no one figured this out yet? The city is in the commercial's logo thing. In the water's reflection." It is too, look at it... LOOK AT IT!! (btw, it took me 20 mins to find that picture there... proof that they make it hard to find the pics with the city in the water on purpose cause its a DEAD GIVE-AWAY!)

More silence and then excited talking on the phone and I just rolled my eyes. Look, I could be totally wrong, hell, since I never even WATCH the show I probably am... but it looks painfully obvious to me. ::shrugs:: Anyway, feel free to tell me I'm wrong on the Forums or Twitter or an email to joshua-at-wthcomics.com.

I'm gonna get to work on that very late podcast now though, catch you all later.
